System Map: Two Parallel but Connected Tracks

Institutional Track

Question: “Who is the institution?”
Recognizes organizations as part of the IBHIM ecosystem.

Level I – Affiliated Institution Level II – Candidate Member Institution Level III – Full Member Institution

Full Member Institutions (in good standing) are normally the only ones eligible to host IBHIM-recognized programs.

Programmatic Track

Question: “How good is the program?”
Evaluates specific programs (e.g., DNM, Lifestyle & Integrative Medicine).

L1 – Emerging Center L2 – Developing Center L3 – Center of Compliance (Accredited) L4 – Center of Distinction L5 – Center of Excellence

“Accredited” refers only to Level 3 and above, and only to programs – not to entire institutions.
